Homework for tonight

Homework for Physics and Chemistry:

Sodium is in group 1 and in period 3. Chlorine is in group 7 and in period 3, such as Sodium. This could be the reason of why they react. Aluminium isin group 3, in period 3 too. Oxygen is in group 6, in period 2.Boron is in group 3, in period 2 as well. Sulfur is in group 6, in period 3. Copper isn’t in a group.  Potassium is in group 1, in period 4. Bromine is in group 7, in period 4. Iron is a metal, so it doesn’t have any group. Iodine is in group 7, in period 6.
Conclusion:
All of the molecules which have two different elements dissolve in water. All of the molecules which have more than 2 different elements don’t dissolve in water. Every molecule which has only one element, or an element in group 1, doesn’t dissolve with any organic substances.

Data of Lab Session #1

Potassium iodide:

It reacts with Hydrochloric acid forming a greenish solution.

It doesn't react with acetone.

It doesn't react with water.

After burning it with a Bunsen's burner, a little bit melted after a while.

AlOB2:

It doesn't react with water.

It doesn't react with acetone.

It doesn't react with Hydrochloric acid

After burning it with a Bunsen's burner, it dissolved and evaporated within seconds
